Tokyo Marui VSR-10 Pro Sniper (Completely Stock)
20 April, 2010, 19:52
First off, This gun was £166 from Zero One with standard FedEx delivery. Ordered 5:00PM Friday night, Arrived 5:30PM Tuesday Night. Great service.
Unboxing the gun, you will find...
The Gun (no suprises here)
Magazine
Manuals & Targets
Cleaning Rod
BB's and Tools
Honestly? This guns TM, you know its going to be good. It feels extremely robust, no rattling. Bolt action is VERY smooth. Only one bad thing I noticed is the Magazine doesnt sound very reassuring when you click it in. But nothing that bad. Iron sights are very impressive, Made me reconsider getting a scope for a while.
How does it shoot? Very well, Infact, I found that if no wind interrupts the shot it should practically fly straight for a good 30+ Meters STOCK. Granted, Some might not like 270FPS. Personally, I wont be upgrading this beast for a good while, No need to. Acuracy on targets? 10/10 shots where in the black ring at 20 meters. (No Pun Intended)
What else is there I havnt covered? Its made of nice materials, feels like a real steel rifle, just very lightweight.
Pros
Lightweight
Quiet
Good Irons
Good range
Its TM
Good Bolt
Cons
Needs a bit of upgrading if you want to cause some pain
Too light for some
Stocks a bit too hollow
Honestly, 10/10. I have never shot a more consistent rifle.

But its a clone.
Clone = Poor quality control and more lemons.

Im just wondering, is there any difference between the TM VSR (STOCK) and the TM G-SPEC (STOCK), accuracy wise? The G-SPEC comes with a shorter barrel than the VSR, would this mean that it would be less accurate then the VSR?

Barrel length doesnt affect the accuracy or range.
TM SCAR-H Recoil // TM MK18 Recoil // VFC HK417 // KWA Kriss Vector // ASG AW.338 //
TM Glock 18c // TM Five-SeveN // VFC FNX.45 Tactical // KWA USP.45 Tactical //

Well, if you have a longer barrel, the Bullet has more time to stabalize itself

What would you need to do to this rifle to get it up near 400fps?
Don't try to run, cos I have 120 little friends, and they can all run faster than you...

Carry on!

i filled by stock with sawdust, not really altered sound / weight but it did dampen the kick it gives into your shoulder.

Despite longer barrels not doing much, Wikipedia state:
The Pro-sniper version has a black stock, 430 mm long inner barrel and is the most accurate of the three versions. The Real Shock version has a metal weight in the piston to simulate recoil. Real Shock has a simulated wooden stock and the same 430 mm long inner barrel. However, due to the vibration caused by the heavier piston's impact, Real Shock is the least accurate of the three, albeit only by less than an inch difference at 20 m distance. G-spec is shortened version with a silencer attached. Inner barrel is 303 mm long, but has a slightly tighter bore. Due to short inner barrel its accuracy is close to Real Shock, but a couple mm more accurate.
