Hfc Vsr-11?!
29 December, 2008, 00:21
I'm planning on doing a custom conversion and was going to buy a BAR-10 as I need a boltie as a base gun and my friend pointed out the HFC VSR-11 which appears to be cheaper and a gas version is available.
Apparantly they are VSR compatible but for now I cannot afford to upgrade it a lot so am more interested in its reliability and performance out of the box. Any of you guys owned/seen/worked on the springer or gas one of these and any stats would be appreciated guys
Just confuddled me slightly as I have heard no mention of it at all!
Cheers guys
Andy
PS I REALLY hope the gas version is good as there is nothing like a cloud of propane/green gas billowing out of the front of a barrel :P
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives

Re: Hfc Vsr-11?!
Only one i ever handled was VERY inconsistent.
I can't say much for it, i used the gas version for maybe 30mins or so...
Shot to shot power varied by maybe 40%, the stock hop unit is appalling, and the gas resovoir was prone to expelling its contents at random intervals.
So really not what you want in a sniper rifle...

Re: Hfc Vsr-11?!
just speaking from my past but my old BAR 10 i think was the worst gun i owned, it kept on breaking, the accuracy was all over the place and most of metal parts were monkey metal. i would get a VSR 10 they are much better if you have the money to upgrade it

Re: Hfc Vsr-11?!
Sounds like you got a bit of a lemon, not typical BAR 10 behaviour.
Accuracy usually pretty good, only bad point is the sears that seem to go pretty quickly but they're cheap and quick to replace.

Re: Hfc Vsr-11?!
Yeah my BAR-10 is pretty damn excellent, but i would NEVER by one of these VSR-11s, the are truely terrible, a relic of old cheapsoft that shouldnt even be considered when the BAR-10 is around
G&G TR15 Raider XL, CA G36K, G&G MP5A4, Cyma Thompson, APS AKS-74U, Custom TM Uzi, DE M56, WE Nighthawk X2, Cyma Glock 18C
RD Customs MG42, The Bone Cannon And Project Balderdash.
If you aren't laughing, you're doing it wrong.

Unless you are buying it pre upgraded theres not really much point these days in getting the VSR, by the time you have upgraded all the internals you could of done the exact same thing to a bar 10 and saved a fair bit of cash
