Don't rely on it solely to take the action. I only use to spread the weight.

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
Evike.com sell an extended charging handle for spring Dragunov rifles, havn't been able to find it anywhere else. I have the ASG Dragunov SVD-S and it fits well, thoroughly recommend getting one.
It's a subtle blend of lateral thinking and extreme violence.

ASPUK also sell one if you'd rather get from a UK seller (
http://www.airsoftsniperparts.com/ap.../639221?page=1
) but they appear to be out of stock at the moment.

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
How do you detach the stock hop unit and inner barrel from the outer barrel?
I have a slight hop issue and I need to reseat/replace the hop bucking and I've stripped the gun right down but there doesn't seem any obvious way to seperate the hop unit and inner barrel from the outer barrel, apart from brute force. I can't see any grub screws, and I have refrenced the exploded parts diagram on ASG website
Also, can anyone confirm that VSR buckings and VSR cut inner barrels are compatible?

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
There should be a C shaped clip holding the outer barrel into the gun and together, after that my hop up and inner barrel just pulled straight out, no effort required. There is a small grub screw in the hopup which holds the inner barrel to the hopup. Yes it does take vsr buckings not too sure about the barrel (but as the bucking is I would assume the barrel is too though I not sure on that) as I took mine straight out although it now has has a lonex 6.01 barrel and my recommendation would be to R-hop the standard bucking as it provides generally a very good air seal, and its a beast on 0.43g, as anything lighter than 0.36g overhoped for me.

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
I've removed that big c-clip and slipped the outer barrel out no problem. I literally have just the outer barrel, hop unit and inner barrel together and seperate from the rest of the gun, with no sign of a grub screw

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
At that point mine used to as good as fall out no force was needed, but now I've put electrical tape along the barrel to stop wobble if its second hand someone else may have done this, other than that I dont know although when I bought this I thought it was very similar to the A&K version but have since discovered it seems to have been made from parts, AEG springs, VSR bucking, AEG barrel (Well mine is dunno if its supposed to be)

It's brand new out of the box, just done one skirmish with it and had some sideways movement in the bb, looking at the hop it needs the bucking reseating or replacing

Re: ASG/ARES Concern Izhmash Dragunov SVD-S
Its odd you should say that mine did and still does (but to less of a degree and with a lot more consistency) shoots to the right in the middle of the wind markers, I just assumed it was because the POSP naturally mounts slightly off center :/ I would rplace the bucking although The normal hop bucking worked fine for me but only liked 0.2g got good range but the slightest wind screwed it up as it's not hard enough for heavy bbs.
