  • Re: sniping tactics

I have a quick question for all you lovley people. I have recently aquired an ex issue sniper smock. Just out of intrest more than anything else how hard would it be to make gillie atachment points for it on the hood shoulders and outter arms. I only ask so that if I should feel the need for some light ghillie when prone I could have the option for it. Any and all help would be greatly apriciated.

Glue wide elastic bands to it, not the brown rubber bands, but the black elastic bands.

Glue them on the shoulders, hood, and back.

      Perfect for vegataion.

It's a good option if you don't fancy artificial material permanetley glued to your smock. The elastic bands are much more subtle!

But for best results, you should really combine vegatation with artificial material.

        what B20 said.

but yes it would be dead easy to sort it out. - you could even rig up some kind of button on netting thing.

i assume it has the wool cuffs? - I bought my first ghillie off ebay some years back - it was a sniper smock but the clueless tart of my past self had no idea and i cut the bugger up! - facepalm!

Yeah it has the wool cuffs. Sounds like its nice and easy. I shall try and get that all sorted in the next week or so and get some pics up so that you may better aid me in this as this would be my first ghillie prodject.

B20 - i think i know the bands you mention - where do you get them?

do they not perish after a while?

Lt. Macka, this is an excellent thread. gives you some really good pointer into how to have a different style of game compared to just walking about and hoping to find someone to shoot when you unload a few round.

                            much better way of playing.

and everyone else adding to it
