Milsimmer? Have a read.

For all you milsimers out there, i've come accross this:
http://compass.seacadets.org/pdf/nrtc/cb1/14234_ch4.pdf
Definatley worth reading.
Lot's of information regarding infratry tactics, fire teams, patrols, reconnaissance ect.
Most of it irrelavent, but there is some useful stuff in there.
Have a read, you'll definatley find something useful somewhere!

No information is ever out of date, but may well need adapting to a more modern situation.
The war studies department at Sandhurst lectures on all conflicts since ancient times as even the smallest piece of insight can help win a battle. After all, anyone who has studied the battle at Thermopylae (rather than watched 300, which while being a great film, is so historically inaccurate that it's a joke), any small unit can hold against a numerically superior force, if there is an effective choke point.
Plus, if you are going for full on milsim, surely you should consider the tactics and maneuvers that were used at the time.

I think it's great. I've only glanced over the movement section but even that had some cool stuff (when crawling, drag rifle by forward sling attachment point)
Thanks for posting

Ooh. Discovery. Apparently you can modify the end of the URL where it says Ch4 to the Chapter of your choice up to Chapter 14 :

Indeed. I recommend that hardcore milsimers try Sun Tzu's art of war. Really. Seriously!

ive seen something a bit more modern and british its in the soilders pocket handbook. Also has lots of other interesting bits like camoflaging yourself, hand signals, survival techniques etc. I think you can buy em on ebay.

Re: Milsimmer? Have a read.
thanks for posting bud, I must admit I find that when used in some ways military tactics do work, fire and maneauver for example, the bounding technique is extremely useful for gaining ground in outdoor areas, though in CQB it needs adapted depending on the enviroment.
