Re: Hand signals
They're good but many of those particular hand signals aren't used these days.

Re: Hand signals
There are soo many variations when it comes to hand signals.
My advice if your going to use them, KISS (keep it simple stupid). Dont try and get too clever or other people might not have the foggiest idea what your on about.
My team may use US army loadouts but we use British Army hand signals, as they are easy to do and easy to understand.

Revive! :D (Don't think this topic got the attention it deserves
)
Yeah these signals seem odd...
Anyway.
The British signal for snap ambush is: snap with hands, hand on face, then direction.
Me thinks...
And herren bone formation, rifle in air, and other hand in air, but lower down.
Arrow head, point arms down to make an arrow.
obstacle, cross rifle and left arm in air
Thats all I remember for now.

For herren bone you criss cros your fingers to doing the evil mastermind pose
The one you said owain is for staggerd file but its called something else now.
For arrowhead we are taught to let the weapon fall on thesling and then put your arms behind the back in an arrowshape most of it is pretty simple stuff.
Hope this helps

these had me and my brother in stitches. tbh i've always found that pointing in a direction whilst looking at someone gets them to go there, the rest of the time you can assume they will shoot on sight which is fine with me :-D

Re: Hand signals
I am pretty sure Australia and British forces use the same hand signals. When I was in the Oz military we worked with the RAF Regt in the NT in 2002. From memory there was no issues? Can anyone else confirm that they are the same???
