I use my shotty at the Mall. When it is dark I try to remember 10 shots then change the shell. When I go wrong its normally after a brief fire-fight, I think back did I fire 6 shots or only 5? Its like Dirty Harry but in reverse - I've normally fired more shots than i remember!

I must say every shotgun kill is worth the extra effort for it! I mostly play in woodland and the range disadvantage does start to show but it tought me how to be a sniper! CQB night games are beautiful with it too. And it's just nice to know it'll just keep working no matter what happens to any of your other guns. When you hear all three rounds make contact it's a beautiful sound too...

SHOTGUNS FTW!!!
My DE tri-shot cost me £20 2nd hand with 3 shells, I now take out about 12 shells and favour it over my pricey AEG's, even for woodland.
Shotgun, pistol and knife kills are 1,000,000 times more satisfying than full auto spraying.

Just a quick question for all you shotgunners, Do you prefer full stock, adjustable stock or no stock Shotguns?

I prefer a stock with everything except pistols when I want to make a shot (as opposed to it being slung over my back), but my shotgun doesn't have one. If I can I might get a top folding stock for it once my cash flow improves.

I have had a solid stock shotgun but now have a tactical sliding stock on one and a pistol grip on the other. Much prefer this setup as when in the scabbard i found the solid stock just got in the way and snagged on stuff making sneaking near impossible

I'm lucky enough to have a folding stock SPAS12 and honestly: love being able to fold it away. Having a stock makes it easier to quickly pump and fire with a little more accuracy as a bonus which generally good for longer range shots, I'ts nice having the shorter gun though as it's 1m long with it out, expecially in thick woodland and corridors.

Re: Shotgunners ......annouce your love

Because my M4 never works i've become very friendly with my shotgun and nowadays i'm honestly not sure which i prefer. Love running a super-lightweight shotgun loadout for CQB games. I carry 15 shells for my tri-shot so I usually just swap the shell out for a full one after a firefight, counting shots goes out the window once I start taking fire.
Run an M56A (full stock, short barrel) and wouldn't have it any other way. If i've got the shotgun out its always as a primary so the stock is great to have as it does save your arms some of the ache that comes from working the pump handle all day.
Got the yearly bonus coming at the end of the month and if nothing else important (read: boring) comes up i'm hoping to nab myself a gas M500 to pimp out.
Anyone else seen magpul's shotgun dvd? I'm generally a magpul hater (except the afg, that things brill) but it seem not even fagpul can ruin an 870.

Nothing more satisfying than getting kills in woodland with a shotty
also forces you to think more tactically.

I have a fullstock on my M3, but I converted it to use the M870 style stock because I find it easier to slip off the shoulder and easier to tuck under my armpit - both things which I find necessary when wielding a shotgun.
I reverted back to the full length 19 3/4" barrel of my S90 because I prefer the longer sight radius and more importantly the longer barrel makes it easier to aim without using the sights at all.

Aim? Not sure if I actually aim at anything with a shotty, I just point in the general direction of people and pump like a teenager watching a porno!!!
