AGM HK416 Hop up problems

Hi All,

I have just replaced my damaged hop up with a new JG Barrel and hop up. Now when the gun is fired the FPS is very low and the BB just about exit the barrel. If i refit the old barrel and Hop the FPS is back upto 300ish.

The new barrel looks exactly the same and is brand new, Does anyone have any ideas.

is the barrel clean ? are the rubber parts of the hop fitted correct ?

Hi Mate,

Yes ive cleaned the barrel and hop as there was a little bit of grease. As for the hop i will have a look at it this afternoon.

I think ive found an alternative fix.

The only problem with my original hop was that one of the gears had snapped off. Ive stripped the new hop and cleaned it then rebuilt it using the original hopup rubber and nub and it now works correctly so all i can think it could be is that the new rubber was to hard and nub was to hard?

I will get the FPS checked tonight
