How can I get my Barrett to handle .4s, or it is better to just keep it on .3s?

How can I get my Barrett to handle .4s, or it is better to just keep it on .3s?

Hey guys. Bought a Snow Wolf M82 Barrett recently with the following upgrades:
Ultimate Hop Rubber
Prometheus 650mm 6.03 Tightbore.
400fps spring
Foam filled stock
Was sad to see that the Barrett couldnt handle .4s, after buying a bottle of 3000 of them for 27 quid!
If I were to say put a Prometheus Hop Up in there, would that allow me to use .4s?
Or should I just count my losses and buy some .3s?

When you say can't handle them, what do you mean?

Sorry, mean as in I believe the BBs are too heavy. They drop after about 35M. With hop adjusted.

Its obviously not the power output causing the issue so you need to check your nub and rubber. Maybe think about a flat hop or an r-hop installation. Have you had it apart to check the hop unit then? Could be a greasy hop rubber, theres numerous problems it could be so take a look inside, clean the rubber in warm soapy water and dry. Test and report back.

This Barrett...runs a M4 hop unit right? You running the standard nub or something a little harder? In any case, honestly, 4's sound a little heavy anyway. Stick with a good brand .3 dude.

I dont think theres anything wrong with the hop up and rubber, as .25s go miles....
I think perhaps I will just stick with .3s....save all the hassle :P.
On that note, does anyone fancy buying a pretty much new bottle of Blaster Devil .4s off me for £20 posted? :P.

.4s shouldnt be too heavy, with a 400fps spring and a tightbore with a good airseal you should be touching 440-450 fps easily. pleanty for .4s
If you dont want to touch it then obviously just use .3s as said.
