Mosfet advice
11 April, 2012, 09:16
My midas built active breaking mosfet seems to have died on my v3 gearbox so I'm taking the opportunity to simply swap it out with another.
What's the recommended recommended one for a high speed AK74u set up -I'm using 7.4 lipos predominantly.

Re: Mosfet advice
If you are using a Mosfet for high speed you'd be much better using one without active breaking.
Because you are only planning on using 7.4v you can get away with a fairly simple one. In my high speed build I'm using a Midas heavy duty, non-active breaking version.

Re: Mosfet advice
if your any good a soldering i would say give it a ago, there are plenty of manuals out there, without wiring and shrink wrap the price for a AB mosfet is £6-7 and as ready built "drop-in" mosfet still require work i would say give it a go.
