CA M15 (M4) Selector switch stiff and difficult to use.
14 April, 2012, 10:52
My CA M15 (M4 derivative) selector switch has gone ape-sh!t. It got stuck so I dissembled the whole lot and found 4 parts (external switch, inside cam, ball bearing and screw).
Looking at the pics online i seem to be missing the spring,,, probably worn as i didn't see anything when i took it apart.
Can someone tell me where the spring sits? I will try find a spring that fits or buy a new switch with all parts.
Thanks.

the spring should sit between the switch (lever) and ball bearing which touches the body.
switch
spring
ball bearing
body
selector cam

thanks CSB
so you mean the spring sits between the ball bearing and switch selector, forcing them apart? I think i understand what your saying as it seems without the spring, the selector flops inward making it difficult to turn.
*been trying to find exploded diagrams online without any luck.

yeah thats right the spring pushes the ball bearing into the body (there should be notches where it "clicks" in)
