G&G GR16 Upgrade
17 April, 2012, 22:27
Hey guys, I am pretty new to airsoft so I thought I would get some adivce.
I am looking at upgrading my GR16 blow back internals.
I do not want the FPS any higher then 340 though.
I am probably looking at a new inner barrel, hop up, motor.
I just want the gun to preform better, have better groupings, range and rate of fire.
Any suggestions on what I should get that would be compatable.
Thank you
James.
Edit. - Looking at spending 150-200

Get a madbull blue rubber, use the soft nub.
Get a madbull python 6.03 barrel.
(can up fps by up to about 10)
If you feel like swapping the motor, teinley (think its spelt right) are brill if a little hard to find and not cheap.
SHS high torques are great but there are a few lemons.

Also the plastic g&g hop is perfect for the gun, as the dials are nice and stiff so you dont lose youre setting

Re: G&G GR16 Upgrade
If you really wanted to spend some time and money upgrading the gun , you could go for a 13:1 gear set for high rof and also a high rof motor too.

Re: G&G GR16 Upgrade
Are deans like to little box type things that you solder each side of the middle battery connector to for a better connection?
Is it easy to fit a gear set?

Re: G&G GR16 Upgrade
Gears are easy , but if you get it wrong you are looking at £50 + of repairs. And yes , deans are the red box type connectors that you can crimp to your origanal battery connectors.

Re: G&G GR16 Upgrade
Cheers for the help, any other things that you would suggest? Think I will pass on the gears for now and just get a high rpm motor
