    A&K M249 Barrel Length?

    Hi folks,

    A mate of mine is upgrading an A&K m249, so I've been researching the options available to him for parts, looking at putting in a classic army m249 hop chamber, anyone happen to know what length inner barrel it uses? as figured a new systema barrel couldn't hurt especially as they're usually only £35-£40 or so.

    Just a guess but I'm thinking 455mm mate. This is the standard AK47 length barrel and they are similar

      If it is 455mm then I have a Madbull ver2 6.03mm barrel if you were interested? Would save your mate £20 or so if it helps?

      Has been used in a DMR so little BB throughput; less than 1000rds.

        Which 249? Para or normal?
        Para IIRC is 363mm.

          That's correct, the Para is M4 length 363mm. The Mk1/2 is M16 length and 509mm
