G36c firing issue ?

I have an issue with my Star G36c that i just brought afew weeks back and im wondering if anyone can help.

(I'm new to the sport and im not sure what to do)

An small bit in the gearbox gets stuck as soon as you shoot in semi - auto and then the gun stops working and the trigger just does nout.

I can flick this small metal bit back down near the trigger and then it starts working again for one shot in semi - auto then i have to flick the bit down again.

But full - auto and safety work fine when the metal bit down but as you shoot in semi it stops working and again you have to flick the bit down again to make it all work again.

Its ok if no one knows what im on about ? Im new to the sport and dont know alot about guns yet.

that sounds like the anti-reversal latch, basically a very important part of your gearbox, you may have the spring the wrong way round which may be causing this problem. Though some pictures would be useful so we can all see what your talking about, if you can get us any??
