JG type 89

My m8 has bought a JG type 89,all the reveiws say that they(TM version) will accept M4/M16 mags.
But what we found is that they will work if you hold them in but do not "click" into position because of the depth of the magwell.
I'm guessing they are not the same as the TM type 89's or am I a long way off?
The T89 mags have a recessed feed whilst M4/16 mags have a raised feed,cheers.

T89 mags should be the same as any other ar15 style mag, the only difference being that the bb feeder pushes all the way through. Maybe its the make of mag that you have (or mine for that matter) that makes it not work/work
