    Hi Guys,

Is it possible to remove the front sight of a JG M4A1 as I might fit a scope/ACOG?

Also, how do you adjust the front sight for elevation? It says turn the pin (front sight stick) clockwise to make the BB's shoot higher.

How do I turn this pin?

Sorry for the rubbish descriptions but I don't know what some parts are called!

    Cheers

    Fred

Well I have figured out how to adjust the front sight but it is abit of a fiddle. Is there a special way to do it?

You have to push a very small circle button down then rotate the front sight but it is very hard as you can't really get your hands to be able to turn the sight/pin.

I had to use a Pen to push the button down then a pair of pliers to turn the sight.

Surely there is a easier way to do it?

Should be a tool for it, note the pin is flat on 2 sides, the key sits on that and then you turn it.
If you want to remove it, if its the fixed one rather that the RIS/RAS one, look at the bottom of the site(underside of the barrel) there should be 2 pins, should be able to knock them out then slide off the front, can be a complete bitch though and you might need an after market gas block if you have the fake gas tube(silver bar running along the top of the barrel), if you set the ACOG up correctly, sometimes the iron sight doesnt even obscure you view. I ve kept mine on and I use a big scope on mine.
