mosfets and ARL
15 July, 2012, 15:34
searched the following to no avail
ARL
Anti reversal latch
Mosfet
SR25
Sr25k
I have recently aquired an SR25k and am looking to put an active braking mosfet in and running an 11.1v crane stock battery
question is do i need to remove the ARL or am i better off leaving it in?????
cheers

Re: mosfets and ARL
If you use a passive braking mosfet then yes you can remove the ARL. You don't have to, or even need to.
It'll prevent any semi auto lockups from happening, though occasionally you may get double feeds etc if the cycle doesn't stop in the right place.
If you have a passive braking mosfet that does cycle completion, like the aws raptor, or ascu- then you'll have no worries at all.

Re: mosfets and ARL
better to be left in, it can be left out though, however when testing I never put mine back in as it's a royal pain. Only put it in right at the last time you open the GB.
