  • Fitting a torch to an mp5 a4

    Hey,

I have just purchased a tgm a4 mp5, the problem is the handgaurd has an 11.1v lipo built into it so that rules out the tactical torch foregrip.

Anyone have a way i can attach a torch to my mp5.

    Any help would be grateful

    cheers

Buy a sturdy roll of black nasty...works wonders.

one method I've seen is bolting a length of accessory rail to the handguard through a couple of holes drilled into it.
then you can add any rail mounting light or railmount for a light.
doesn't need to be a long peice of rail, so long as it's long enough to fit the light mouting of your choice.

Thats the issue i have the gun is a new design and the handguard is actually the battery it has an 11.1v lipo built in so i cannot drill it at all.

magpul illumination kit, a bit of sanding and some 2 part epoxy could do the trick

I'm supprised the battery takes up the entire handguard. I was imagining that there would be some suitable points around the upper sides of the grip.

Bob, if it's the G&G .. the handguard IS the battery, drilling is thus a terrible idea (there is literally only a couple of mm between the lipo cell area and the upper edge of the handguard) :P
MP5 High Scope Mount, some of these feature an RIS rail on one side. Position isn't ideal for a torch, but it works.

I'm not sure Zero One stocks them, and that's the only retailer I can link. However if you google or search a well known auction site for "MP5 High Scope Mount" you should get some hits.

*Edit* on the auction site, you'll get more results just looking for "mp5 scope mount".

I have seen a torch mount which attached to the front sight of the mp5 series. That was a long time ago when I had one, But you can get them.

Rumour has it that G&G are releasing a torch hand guard at some point too
