TM SOPMOD Takedown...BOOM...cannot go further
27 July, 2012, 18:42
Basically I decided to change a few pieces i.e cylinder, hop rubber, spring guide etc
I follow instructions and remove the stock tube then BOOM! Piston and spring are half way out and refuse to move either way.
Body covers any screws I can undo to relieve the pressure to try and remove it too.
Anyone had this?

Should of said I have done that.
Its like its just jumped 5 teeth back so its just gripping on the back section so I CANT get it out without ripping or burning it out

only thing i would try ( little hard with it not in my hands looking at it ) would be to try and tilt the piston at and angle ( even twisting it a little ) and turn the gears. pushing the piston away from the tooth side of the gear if that makes sence

You have to dissassemble basically. If you want to put the piston back in lift the anti reversal latch off the gear. But you can't just pull the piston out the back. It's a totally different gearset to normal
