17 December, 2009, 12:01
Ive got a ICS M4 at the moement and im wanting something a better range, has anyone here ever used a ICS M16 and know if it has a better range than the M4? Or even something i could do to give me M4 a greater range.
Thanks

Hmm, if only someone had written a guide on upgrading AEGs, then that would tell you.
Oh wait...

I have owned both the ICS M4 and the M16 and the advantage in range between the 2 is very small.

And it tells you in the guide how to get better range, which IS what you asked for

Re: ICS m16
there wont be much difference..
My friend has an M16, my brother has an SR25, i had an SA80.. they have no better range over my M4, or my AK,

Do they offer much improvement over standard hop nubs?

Re: ICS m16
i use those and i dont know about range being any better but they seem very accurate, my AK is stock aside from that H nub and people keep praising it on how accurate it is!

Wait a minute... am I right in thinking they're replacements for the little hop nub thing? How does it improve accuracy?

Puts an equal spin on 3 different sides of the bb, rather than just one. I have one in My ICS M4, along with a 1J & 6.04 barrel & it hits 50m's easily.

Re: ICS m16
With a standard nub, the BB can sit under it to the left, the right, or dead centre. It's only a difference of a fraction of a mm, but it makes the spin less predictable.
The H nub forces the BB into the same position each time and makes the shot far more consistent.
