Weird top R.I.S rail? (pics incl.)

I have a Dboys Kac PDW and I was just looking at it and I noticed that the top rail on it (circled red on the pic below) is really diffrent to the side rails (circled in yellow) on the gun. Now I always thought that the standerd normal ris was the ones on the sides of the gun? Is this a manufacture error as most Dboys Kac PDW's I've seen on google images have a normal rail but not myn or this guys?
Can I still mount scopes and stuff on the top rail? Please help!

That is a normal rail mate. Just the angle of the pic making it look different. The flush part in the middle of the rail i believe is to accomodate low profile optics

Hunter is correct. Its so the scope doesnt foul on the ris.

So this means I can still put an optic like and eotech 551 on it?
