Battery Help...
28 August, 2012, 10:28
Okay, so my batteries run out after about 10 minutes of use, I have 2 that are just over a year old and some that are a few months old.
Any advice as of to what I should do? Should I get some new batteries or is there some way of making them last longer?
Cheers

Re: Battery Help...
Try them in someone elses gun.
Are they being charged correctly, are they quality units, how long have you noticed the issue?
It'll be unusual for all of the batteries to fail at once...I'd look at the charger or the charging regime(?).

Re: Battery Help...
Yep, they are being charged correctly, but I haven't used any of them in a few months and left them fully charged if that makes any difference?
I have tried them in 2 of my guns and they both had the same outcome

Re: Battery Help...
Are they LiPo's?
I'd replace them myself fella unless you have a smart charger in which case you can try cycling them.

No they are not LiPo's.
Cycling them? What does that mean exactly?

By the sounds of things you do't have a smart charger so it's irrelevant mate.
I have no idea if you can even cycle NiMh's anyway? Sure someone will confirm.
I have only ever used LiPo's.

Re: Battery Help...
I have:
2 x intellect 1600 9.6v
2 x Racing Battery 1600 8.4v
and 1 JG 1100 7 cell that came with my G36c
I use an Enigma NX80 Pro delta peak fast charger.
I have had the problem in the past 2/3 months?

Re: Battery Help...
Have a quick search fella, they are much better.
Ignore the people that say that LiPo's will rape your grandmother whilst staring you in the eyes, they are perfectly safe and won't randomly explode at any minute. Although they do need a slight bit more maintenance than other batteries, it really isn't much at all.
