  • Battery- and dodgy charger

Ok, i bought a nice shiney new gun off someone on here- but he forgot to send a charger, and I don't know if he is going to send it anytime soon, so at the moment I'm improvising with an R/C car battery. but it has two ratings of mA on it!! and if i do the calcualtions for each mA input i'm getting either 4hrs charging or 24hrs!!!!!

    i have a 1100mAh battery and a 2800mAh battery

im so confused and no other posts on this subject have helped me, so im going to write down all the writing on the charger.:p so....:

    PRI : 230v ~ 50Hz 50mA <-- is it me...
    SEC : 6v -- 300mA <-- or is there two values?

daauumm i so need a new charger!

and imagine my gun is totally flat batteried. :D

sorry if this is so damn obvs for some of you but im not exactly clued up.

    Re: Battery- and dodgy charger

First number is your mains input ie 230 volt and your secondary is the output ie what its charging at, im not sure if thats enough or too much so someone else will have to answer that.

      see, that's wht i thought....300mA very high tho- 4hrs seems...weirdly fast!

I would consider 300 milliamp as very low, its .3 of an amp

My charger charges at either 500mA or 1amp

              Re: Battery- and dodgy charger

If I'm in a rush I'll often charge all of my batteries on 3.5A (that's 3500mAh) with the Pro Peak.

Although I don't recommend this for any battery less than 2500mAh

i clearly stated that i was confused between which mA value i should have used fizzy. :p not how to work out charge

                and so if i used the calc: (1100mAh/300mA)x 1.5 = 4.5hrs -ish?

                  That would appear right.

If you're still really stuck. Google is your friend.

"Airsoft Calculator" in google returned: http://asgcalc.hollved.com/us/dl.php?n=5

Now that will even give a buzzer when the time is complete.
