sudden cut out
16 September, 2012, 18:09
Hi gaming with my rpk today i thought the battery had died but it went from firing fine to suddenly like there was no battery connected no dodgy noises or anything just stopped as i went to engage someone
tried several batteries and still the same thing
i was wondering what this could be im thinking possibly the fuse or a loose wire
thanks

One of the 2 things you mentioned. Dodgy wiring or the fuse

Re: sudden cut out
It could be either,
* As said ^ Fuse
* Dodgy wiring/Connector
* Worn Switch Block Contacts
* Work motor brushes or Dirty Comms
* Selector Plate Contact with switch Block (Though some aftermarket brands don't use the selector plate as an electrical safe)

Re: sudden cut out
I'll echo the statements before me, with the addition of check the motor connectors I've found occasionally one can come loose and thus the gun cuts out.

Re: sudden cut out
yeah, motor connector is a bit of a theme for me, I've had it onn a couple of guns just lately. If it has dropped off its worth trying to crimp the connector a little with some pliers so it gets a better grip, but only a little bit at a time, or you'll crimp it so much you can't get it onto the motor any more
