shs high speed motor compatibilty

Bought a new SHS high speed motor for my G&G M14, doesn't seem to like the gearbox on my M14. Fires a couple of shots and then locks up. Had the gearbox to bits and all is well. any ideas? I have had the motor height up and down.

Re: shs high speed motor compatibilty
high speed motors only seem to work with high torque gears, they lack the initial grunt to get things started,in nearly all situations what you really need is a high torque motor not a high speed motor.

Try taking the screw right out, Shs shafts are a little longer than most others

Yeah in the workshop we had to adjust shimming slightly when we switched to shs motors on the bevel gear.. Tis the nature of the beast.

You may have to modify the basket the motor sits in.
