    If you only have a simple MOSFET in there, why is switch bounce a problem?
    That should only be an issue for the simple active braking units. But even then, they have a degree of leeway in the switchover response to avoid "shoot-through" (also called "fuse test mode", where both MOSFETs are on at once, shorting the battery).
