Mosfet building....
20 November, 2012, 19:47
I've hit a bit of a wall building mosfets, and hoping someone with a little more knowledge can help.
I've built quite a few AB mosfets using Doubletaps guide (
http://www.cerberusairsoft.co.uk/Mosfet/
). I now need to build two more but find that the 'P' mosfet, (part number SPP80P06P) has been discontinued.
Can anyone suggest an alternative part?
incidently, if anyone has 2 ready built 'fets they want to sell, it'd save me some work

Alternatively: If you don't need the brake, just leave the P-channel MOSFET off and build the rest without it.

Re: Mosfet building....
I'd forgotten all about doubletaps guide, has spured me on to make up some of my own mosfets now. Anyone got any good links of where best to pick up the main parts? Can find loads of Irf4905s on ebay for around £1.30 each but no IRL3034

Re: Mosfet building....
DONT buy transistor chips on ebay - almost guaranteed to be fakes. CPC/Farnell or RadioSpares (RS) are the best places to get electronic components from

Re: Mosfet building....
The 3034 is just a superior alternative to the 1404, if the 1404's ratings suit your requirements then it would be fine.

Re: Mosfet building....
He is the guy that made the tutorial... Check the link in first post.

You tried RS and CPC Darnell? What do you mean by a reasonable price?
