AA R85 Fire Selector
24 November, 2012, 17:08
Hi All,
I'm now officially at my wits end with my mates R85 (SA80) - To date, i've replaced:
> wiring harness
> Motor
> Cut off Lever
> Selector Switch Cam
...and I still can't get the damn thing to fire on semi!! - Is it likely that the cam on the Sector Gear could have worn down or is that a little far-fetched???
Any help, advice, hammers welcome.
Thanks,
Rich

Re: AA R85 Fire Selector
As in it refuses to engage semi despite the fact that I can see the selector engaging. All it wants to do is full-auto.
It's all a little strange :s

Re: AA R85 Fire Selector
your best bet it so remove the trigger switch assembly and re install it checking it all engages perfectly so it cuts off for semi

Re: AA R85 Fire Selector
I just stripped mine down and the only thing I can see that would cause the fault (other than bent metal) is the retainer spring? Is it still in place?
