What are these connectors called?
8 March, 2009, 12:29
I'm going to replace all the connectors, on all my guns.
The problem is, what are the little blade connectors used between the gearbox wiring and the motor/battery wire called? I'm guessing that they may be called a blade connector, but there seem to be so many different types out there, I don't want to get the wrong ones.
Another question is, are these worth changing over to another type of connector? Obviously, I'd need to keep the same type for the motor, but what about the run to the battery? I've looked at deans micro connectors, but they seem a bit too big to fit through some of the small slots in an AEG body. What about these below?

Cheers for the help with another, potentially stupid, question guys!

For the motor, Zero One search product code:
LXPMC
Between the battery should be Tamiya connectors. Probably mini. These are easy enough to find on eBay.

Re: What are these connectors called?
use the deans ultra's on the battery connection, thay realy, realy make a differance, i would highley recomend them.
tech bit. the deans connector contact area is about 3x more than the large tamia connector, but take up not much more space than a small tamia!
done.
paul.
