Broken Tappet plate - what can be the cause

Howdy

I broke the tappet plate of my DBoys spr at the weekend - its 2years old and broke after a 2-hour game of some intense single fire shooting. It actually snapped just to the right of where the sector gear engages it.

I am hoping it is just wear and tear but before I replace it I wanted to pick your minds as to whether there is anything else I should consider/check/lookout for when fixing the gearbox that can cause tappett plates to snap - dont want to put it back together without having fixed the problem only for it to happen again!

where did it snap ? give it a good once over but i would put it down to wear and tear

God i dont know wtf is up with me !!!! i keep miss reading post's , the only part that makes contact with that part is the little gubbin on the gear but if anything has jammed the plate from going back the gear might have ripped the rear off

look for anything in the rails the plate runs along , the plate is easy and cheap to get hold even got 5-6 of them my self in the old spares box
