P90 Hicap wont fire whole mag?
18 January, 2013, 17:18
Hi Guys
I have a couple of genuine Tm hi-cap p90 mags.
Now i know they are hit and miss etc but: these mags will only fire 50 or so rounds then need winding.
Is there anything i can do to fix this? I was under the impression that they should shoot the full 300 in one wind?
Thanks

Make sure they are fully wound up.
When they hit the limit the noise changes from a 'tick tick tick' to a 'tick kerchunk tick kerchunk'.
If you are already doing that then its a design issue of the frankly p1ss poor P90 mags, cure would be to wind it whenever possible.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

Thats because they are terrible and very unreliable magazines. Sell them and buy some midcaps.

Re: P90 Hicap wont fire whole mag?
Theres a thread in the electric tech forum where I posted a diagram on how to mod a P90 hicap to be reliable. Can't find it at the moment though. Essentially the problem is the BBs can go the wrong way around the loading wheel

Thats for the answers! The mag do wind properly and click click click. But they dont fire more than 50 or so rounds. Not sure if it was the hicap winding spring?

Re: P90 Hicap wont fire whole mag?
Is it actually running out of spring power, or does it suddenly unwind the spring?
If it's the latter, it's the common jamming fault with P90 hi-caps.
