MP7 aep clone how many amps? please.
26 January, 2013, 07:01
Hi I am wanting to convert my clone MP7s to lipo.
I have a Galaxy and a BE version.
Does anybody know please how many amps the clone MP7s pull as a rule please?
or how I can work it out?
Both are just slightly upgraded
Tight bore barrels.
Both have been ptf eeed.
Both with the standard springs but with metal bearing spring guides
so obviously the springs are slightly tensioned by these.
Btw I tried searching with the keywords MP7 aep and amps but nothing seemed forthcoming.
Thanks Foxxy

Re: MP7 aep clone how many amps? please.
You'll need to know the voltage/torque/power response for the motor, the inductance and resistance of the motor, the resistance of the wiring, soldering, trigger switch. All of these except the motor parameters - you'll need a dynamometer to calculate that.
In short - no.
What capability does the current battery have? Voltage, C Rating, Capacity etc.

Oh ok lol thanks.
I was just hoping someone might have a ballpark figure of the clones to give me a rough idea.
Thanks anyway.
I will have to keep looking.
Cheers Foxxy.

Re: MP7 aep clone how many amps? please.
Unless your using silly think wire dont worry about it. awg 18-16 is more then enough for any lipo.
Use ptfe awg 18 or 16 silver coated copper wire and either solder on to motor tabs or use the screws on mtor with O connectors and you be lauhing.
no matter what anyone says. current only gets bad on low volts / amps over a certain distance and most aegs run on less then a foot which they dont even give a rating for as its so short.
If you can get PTFE awg 16 silver plated copper wire installed you have nothing to worry about. your blow your motor before the wire gives up
If your worried about over load this will give you some idea on battery amps which is a normal 20 amps for a aeg
stock
(800mAH 10C Lipo Battery): .800AH X 10C = 8Amps Max Constant
(800mAH 20C Lipo Battery): .800AH X 20C = 16Amps Max Constant
(1350mAH 15C Lipo Battery): 1.350AH X 15C = 20.25Amps Max Constant
(1350mAH 30C Lipo Battery): 1.350AH X 30C = 40.50Amps Max Constant
(2200mAH 20C Lipo Battery): 2.200AH X 20C = 44.00Amps Max Constant
(2200mAH 30C Lipo Battery): 2.200AH X 30C = 66.00Amps Max Constant
Your stock gun will pull about 10-20 amps max depending the spring . guessing 340-350 fps would be 20 amp max
