Lonex A1/A2 probably has slightly better QC than the SHS, but pretty much any of the motors you see in HK shops going for $35+ and described as either 'High Magnetism' or contain the words 'Neodymium' or 'Neo-magnets' are what you are after. Otherwise, JG and Element were always the go-to motors before SHS became popular.

Re: altenative to shs high torque motor

I use an element high torque motor, the only problem I've had with it was a sheared pinion gear which was trivial to replace.

Solid motor, really damn strong magnets, gives a crisp trigger with a high amp battery.

I used to use another one, will have to see if I can remember the name. It was a while ago before I stocked SHS. Think there is still one in my M41.

Re: altenative to shs high torque motor

I use a Element High Torque in my 33rps build and it has worked perfectly for over 10,000 rds so far. I orignally bought a SHS high speed which craped itself after 100rds so I sent it back and got the Element. I would probably give SHS another go as many people swear by them though I guess mine was just one of those unlucky ones.
