ICS AK74 Owners; mid cap magazine compatibility

Just wondering what magazines you guys use? The only mags i have that reliably feed are the ics hicap and a bunch of metal ak47 waffle mags (no idea of what brand though)

I purchased some cheap mag ak74 mids and they fed perfectly in my cyma but wouldnt feed in my ics without assistance. The assistance being me pushing the mag backwards. I found the problem by taking one of the mag magazines apart and putting half of the magazine in the magwell. I can clearly see that the lip isnt being pushed back enough to let the bb's pass up into the barrel.



I read about shaving the nubbin that holds the bb's in the mag but i didnt really see it helping all that much so i opted for a different idea i had.

By gluing some plastic to the back lip of the mags and sanding them to the same height of the ics lip i managed to make them feed perfectly. It looks terrible but it works great.
