Thoughts on my parts list.
5 February, 2013, 18:56
Im in the prosess of gathering together parts for my first custom build based on G&G top tech tr16light. my aim to out perform a systema for not alot of cash, if this can be done...
Parts i have:
SHS hi torque motor
SHS 13.1 gears
SHS stainless steel cylinder 250-363
SHS m110 spring
SHS high performace tappet plate
Lonex blue piston
ASCU v2
Standard G&G 6.03 TBB
Parts i need:
Piston head
cylinder head
nozzle
sorbo
Prowin cnc hop unit
what would be the general thoughts on the parts that i have and also what i need ? as i build i plan to put together a seperate thread and add lots of pictures for those who are interested.
cheers

The ASCU hop unit has just been released and should be in stock soon.. Wait and get that. Would then put you on par with a systema as it would then have.... BOLT LOCK OFF!

Re: Thoughts on my parts list.
Get a deepfire stainless tightbore, you'll need to short stroke the gearbox if your using an SHS m110.
Deepfire metal nozzle
SHS cylinder head
Midas or Wookie sorbo
Throw in a H-nub and an A+ hop rubber and your golden. You prolly want to get a sector chip as well, as that will be a rather snappy setup.

Re: Thoughts on my parts list.
you will need to short stroke it as that spring will hit you for 380ish fps if you manage a good airseal.

Re: Thoughts on my parts list.
would m100 Be a better option then, id rather not short stroke, but am i right in thinking that short stroking gives better ROF?

Re: Thoughts on my parts list.
Without shortstroking you might run the risk of getting pre-engagement, do it just to be sure.
I've had an SHS m110 run at 410 fps before, so it could be all over the place.
A sector chip clips onto the sector gear and pulls the tappet plate back for longer, producing a longer opening for a bb to feed - pretty much essential on high ROF builds.

Re: Thoughts on my parts list.
Short stroking will increase ROF as its not bringing the piston back as far so can cycle the piston more times than one that hasn't been short stroked so I would do that and keep the m110 spring instead of using an m100 spring.
