  • JG M16 CQB solid stock - Battery size??

Just wanted to know if there are any folk out there who use the JG CQB M16 solid stock ( small one) and if so which size battery do you use in it?

Thinking about going down the lipo route but dont really want the battery to be knocking around in the stock.

Just a quick update on this thread. I stuck a 9.6v mini battery in the stock and it rattles around quite severely. When I find a battery that fits through the hatch and sits securely I will update the thread.

As I could not find a battery that I thought would suit I got my hands on some Elastomeric Foam tape which is available from RS Components stuck a few bits around the inside of the stock and boom no more rattle. Gun is now complete and waiting to be field tested. (Sunday)

I was going to suggest using some foam.

Hope it shoots well for you on Sunday.

I wrap mine in a sock personally... Elegance ain't always necessary!

The profile of a large type nimh is that of the hatch, so you are looking for batteries of that size.

The depth is somewhat of a grey area. I'll try to measure my one at home later today or tomorrow and let you know what is practical. All I know is that my 9.6v 4300mAh from a shop of components is too long to fit by about 20-30mm or so...

Ha I do that too with the sock!! Also a 9.6v 3700mah doesn't fit either. Too long by 20-30 mm. A 8.4v large type will fit though. As they only have 7 cells as opposed to the 9.6v's 8 cells
