The first proper AEG I bought was a G&P M4A1 Carbine version from zeroone, that was 10 months ago and this thing has been through mud, rain and cold weather and just keeps on working! I've had no problem internally, and have only swapped the hop up rubber which I broke messing around with it. Been running it on a 8.4v mini since the start and it's rate of fire is around 17-18 a second, adding the 15k rounds through it, I would say it's still going strong.
