increasing the range of my ics m4

ok i want to increase the range of my ics m4. at the moment the bb's are not going that far at all. it is a long barrel m4. everything is mostly stock except a ported piston head. what would you recommend to get a bit more range out of it?

new hop rubber, maybe a tightbore.

does the madbull ultimate hop work in there?

When you changed the piston head, did you check the compression? The new piston head usually means a new o-ring (unless you swapped the old one over) and could lead to loss of fps if the compression isn't right.

I would check your FPS, as Swerve suggests.

an ultimate hop will fit after mods as with most of them in most brands. i dont really like em.

Hi, as the owner of many ICS AEGs and the current owner of 2 I think I can help.

Don't use any hop other than the ICS one. It's not worth it and you will forever be messing with it to set it up.

My ICS m4 shoots 350fps and I can hit a man sized target at 80-90 yards. I did it last weekend as a group of us stood outside of a combat zone discussing whether we had got the objective or not. The enemy, standing on ledges outside of a hut couldn't shoot us because we were out of range. I bet the guys I could hit them, I did, the enemy didn't know where it came from, so I did it again and shouted at them to move or get more!

Ok, so my setup.

ICS m16 cylinder (no ports)
Shs piston first 2 teeth removed
Guarder cylinder head
ICS standard cylinder head (that one that's white and looks crap that everyone changes- put it in after a failure, never taken it out)
Turbo3000 motor
Standard gears
Guarder sp90
iCS hop
A+ reaps hop rubber
Shs h nub.
Madbull 455mm tightbore 6.03mm

I had an m100 spring in it before and was getting over 350fps but the range and accuracy were shite. My site tightened up on checks so I thought I'd throw an sp90 in to comply and everything just worked a whole lot better.

My other ICS cqb is standard and hits 70m accurately with just a Guarder hop rubber.
