GR25 Upgrades advice...
28 March, 2013, 17:42
I'm looking to upgrade a G&G Gr25 so it can shoot at about 400-450 fps
If you all have any information that would be able to help me then please let me know as I'm trying to find prices
Cheers :D

Re: GR25 Upgrades advice...
why are you upgrading it that high when normal sites have a limit of 350 FPS?? and stronger doesnt allways mean better
the more powerful your gun is the more likely it is to break / shatter bb's inside your gun so it needs to be all metal and solid

Its pre locked to semi, so dmr build, the standard gearbox case isn't ideal, so i'd upgrade that as its likely to crack under the higher force spring, get a gr25 single piece cylinder head, then do what you like with v 2 parts but basically torque gears, motor ect personally with a dmr build id work on getting good airseal for consistent fps first as that will lead to accuracy, if you can get a good mosfet for precocking and cycle completion

Re: GR25 Upgrades advice...
13:1 or 16:1 gears (No need for torque gears) , A high torque motor and simple mosfet, a m130 (426 fps) powered by a 11.1v lipo as big as you can find wires to deans.
and finally Sorbo pads and AOE.
Edit: Just realised this has an extended gearbox, adjust the spring as necessary, perhaps an m140/m150, and use a standard piston with a spacer, Gear wise, either use a spacer with the piston, or get the extended piston (limits the choice of gears)

Will a nunchuk battery fit into the battery compartment for this rifle?

Re: GR25 Upgrades advice...
In the process of doing this myself.
Mossfet and hop rubber are first on my list aswell as a new spring to bring it up to the 420 mark.
420 is max at my site along with a 30mtr engagement rule.
The barrel I am leaving well alone as it is a 6.04 as standard.
Will be putting an AGS 3-12x44 Mini SWAT Mil-Dot on top.
Hope this helps.
