motor/gears make werid noise
16 March, 2009, 14:41
Hi,
I have trade my G3 for a DBoys Scar ages ago and now i have time to fix the scar. The Scar does not shoot instead it makes a werid noise. I have tried adjusting the motor plate but the werid nosies keeps getting loud, which sounds like it is stripping the gears?
I have done some recordings so you could hear them and post what you think it is the Problem.
The first recording sounds like that the motor does not make contact with the gears. (This is when the mortor plate when its not even tight)

The second recording sounds like it is stripping the the gears.

(All these noise are continues)
If you require pictures of the gear box opened to help me with this just ask.
Thank you for your time.

Re: motor/gears make werid noise
you links dont work but i found them in the parent directory....
well the untight one sounds like the motor is just spinning on its own and not engaged.
the other one sound very crunchy!
could be a gear has jumped or something, id open up the box and rebuild it, see if the gears mover on their own and chack the motor out of the box too.
i had something similar 2 weeks ago, a shim has split in half and jammed up the gears, everytime the motor turned the gears got busy grinding the messed up shim to dust, also ruined my pinion gear too.
good luck!
back in the game after 12 months away!
