    hey guys just wondering wat voltage to dicharge a lipo down to before it becomes unuseable as i have heard that if you discharge them to much you can serioulsy damage them :S please help

    6.6v minimum
    would not advise going any lower than 7-7.2 to be on safe side or get a lipo alarm for a few quid .
    this is based on 7.4v 2 cell lipo which is actually 8.4v fully charged

      thanks as i have a puffy 7.4 and i heard if u discarge it and recharge it can sort it out

        3v is normally the minimum for one cell. So a two cell battery 6v, so 6.6v is a safe minimum i suppose.

          ok on dropping the voltage a little bit the contacts touched and i imidiatly disconected it as it sparked and checked on multi meter i was regestering 7.35 volts and now regesters 0.04 has this battery became obsolutley fubar and should i dispose of it or try recharge it ?

            how bizare :S its now back to regestering 7.35 after few mins of not powering even a motor and is now back to normal still puffy tho do i have a possesed batt lmao

              Absolute minimum is 2.8v per cell.
              When you say puffy, if you're meaning the pack has become deformed/swollen, bury it somewhere! It's had it, and further use could cause it to have a catastrophic failure

                    The local council should have a batteries disposal place at your local tip. Putting them in the rubbish is now illegal.
