Upgraded spring lead to lower rps?
3 May, 2013, 11:27
I've just upgraded the spring in my pulse rifle and after a few adjustments cutting it down I've got it down to 320fps instead of previous 280. But at 280fps it shot around 12 rps and now shoots around 10rps
I'm assuming this is normal as the motor is working harder but just wanted to double check I've not missed anything as first time I reconstructed I forgot the anti versal latch!

Re: Upgraded spring lead to lower rps?
12 to 10 doesn't sound too steep. Naturally the motor has to work harder, but ruling out installation errors, the severity of the drop often goes down to the motors capability + the consequent increased current draw and the existing wiring looms capacity to deal with it and obviously the battery output all affect the cycle rate.
