G&P M4 Flashhider threads..
15 February, 2010, 19:11
Hey guys Ive tried removing my G&P M4 flash hider but its stuck on so tight, i cant tell if its clockwise or counter clockwise?
Did some research online and there a bunch of G&P flashhiders, some clockwise, some anti..
So which is it?
There must be some sort of pattern to it?
Thanks for the help!
p.s its a G&P Magpul PTS M4

off the top of my head there all CW threads , if you have any open end spanners they are the best thing to use if you dont have an AR spanner set

Check for grub screws, its a positive/CW thread so lefty loosey and all that. If its stuck on tight some heat will help, you got a blowtorch?

Re: G&P M4 Flashhider threads..
open ended spanner does work ( its just the same as a AR spanner ) i have heard of people having problems getting these off as they use some sort of glue/lock tight i cant remember if they used heat or cold to help get them off
i will have a look about and see if there is anything

Re: G&P M4 Flashhider threads..
it's clockwise - G&P flashiders dont ahve grub screws.
You must have one of the newer version('s) they use Loctite 262 (or the equivalent it seems!) and far too much of it. The flash hider will come undone but you'll need some hotwater/heat and plenty of leverage (make sure that barrel/AEG is securely held and wont slip)
