Ares UMP Compatability

I've just purchased an Ares UMP.45 and was wondering if it would take any other make of mags, upgrades etc..... e.g star?

Any help would be greatfully received!

Should take star mags, as for other upgrades anything that can mount on RIS should go on no problems.

They take Star mags mate, i had an ares UMP, you cant fit any upgrade, as i found when i tried on a scope(dont know why). It couldnt fit due to iron sights.

I haven't yet received the gun. Are you saying you can't flip down/ remove the iron sights to allow either scope or red dot sight?

A red dot sight WILL fit mate, i just mean that the RIS on top isnt big enough to fit a scope because the iron sight stop it from going right down.

BTW mags are REALLY dear for these, around £30 each :O
