G&P m4 hop=up issues

I have a g&p m4 I've owned from new its had about 2-3000 rounds through it, I'm having a problem with the hop-up when I switch mags the first 10-20 rounds from the new mag fall short then it sorts itself out. anyone heard of this before coz its really weird

I had that with my M4 last time I used it, but was unable to replicate the problem when testing at home later. My guess was that the incredibly fine dust from copehill down in my rig had got into the top of the mags, reducing the effect of the hop rubber for the first few rounds. I've seen it happen when its raining too.
