2 questions on A&K m249

[SGTSNIPER]

1...when firing on semi/full auto, after letting go of the trigger it jams on full auto till i give it a slap???????? any ideas

2... What type of batters (small m4 type) will give me a good ROF??

as for the 1st question my guess is that the selector plate isnt returning, i think there is a little spring doin this job that just needs a little more help...

as for a battery, a 9.6v nunchuck will sorta ya out..

same as above really, the A&K m249's are known for a few basic faults and dodgy selector is one of them.

M249's have semi and a fire selector ? I sure as hell can't find it on mine!

The problem you have is more than likely with the trigger micro switch jamming in the on position, do a google search for 'm249 micro switch mod' (or similar) and you will find loads of info.

oh yeah!! woah, big mind blank there.....

yeah, as mentioned they dont have a semi, or selector :P

yes, this happened on a friends A&K, basically it is sticking, and will eventually burn out, buying and installing a new one is relatively easy and cheap

Yeah they really don't. Yeah it is easy to replace (I am the friend btw :P) just don't do what I did and spend £10 on a Classic Army one. Get down to Maplin or something and find the one that looks the same it'll be less then a quid.

As for the battery, I use a 9.6v Vapex nunchuck style battery from ********* ****. Lasts for over a day and isn't too shabby

Sorry about the semi/auto thing, i ment when i use burst after a couple of 2-3 second bursts it sometimes sticks full auto untill i twat it one...oh and could any one pm me a link for these nunchuck batts?

As for the battery, I use a 9.6v Vapex nunchuck style battery

i used a 10.8v 1500mah in my para(bought from the named shop above)and it worked a treat..
also had the same faulty with the micro switch,got a new one from maplins for £1.20..
you will have to spread the terminals on it when fitting as slightly different shape..

Nun chuck style, it looks like 2 mini batteries in one, not the stick ones.
