Canadian C8 body issues
22 August, 2013, 08:57
I have a guarder C8 lower and i cannot for the life of me find a selector switch that fits inside it, may fit but maybe because of the thickness of the body once it's all together you cannot turn the selector switch
I'm wondering If there is a special one for it or a particular brand of one that fits
Also i need an upper for it, I was told only the CA and guarder uppers fit so u got a CA one and there is a gap between the two
Any one shed some light?

Re: Canadian C8 body issues
a friend is using a G&P upper and selector and they seem to be okay, apart from the fact the front pin housing has broken off.

Re: Canadian C8 body issues
if had a guarder body before but generation 1. found that most f/s fitted fine.
All though zero one do actually do the guarder fire selector, could give that a try.
if not try putting a shim/washer down the hole of the inner plate to push it out ever so slightly so that the selector can turn

It's not a gap issue with the selector switch it's too tight for any selector

Re: Canadian C8 body issues
Get the guarder selector or spend some time sanding the inside of the receiver so that the selector runs freely?

Re: Canadian C8 body issues
The front receiver pin in that lower is horrifically off centre, what muppet designed that?
Only solution I can think of is file the hole in the upper til it's a bit bigger and find some way to lock it down, drilling and tapping a hole in the bottom so you can force a grubscrew into it to push against the pin might sort it
