Re: Systema Piston Head - where do the bearings go?

if your going to use them inside the piston

    the order would be :
    piston head - piston - 1 metal spacer - bearings - metal spacer - cap - screw

      Hmm, thanks.

What confuses me is that they have no mechanical contact with the top of the piston that way - like they're just there for no reason...

there to help the spring waste of time tbh as they hadd extra weight to the piston, i use bearing spring guides ( dont use both )

Grrrrrrrr. Damn this thing. Isn't the nozzle supposed to rest in the forward position after firing? Test firing reveals that the nozzle and gears stop in different positions after each firing and sometimes fully to the rear. Is this what could be causing the double feeds? Any ideas what's wrong?

Batteries tested are: 20C 7.4v Lipo and a 1500mAh Nimh (appears to be firing the same on both).

Motor is a TM Hyper 1000.

              Cheers.

I am no expert on the eletrical side of things but I have thought about this for a while. The trigger is just like a simple switch, I doesn't start and stop in exactly the same place every shot due to the tiny ammount of time it takes to cycle the system. So they do vary a bit each shot. My thoughts anyway. That with the anti reverse won't allow it to return to spring extended position, so can be left compressed.

Ah well, on the fourth re-assemble today, the gearbox destroyed itself by the sound of things. Really bad grinding noise of teeth stripping.

Busy now so will send it off to F-S for repair as there's obviously something seriously wrong somewhere...

                    Thanks for everyone's help.

They are pushed against the inside of the piston by the spring.
