Tm motor eg1000 help!

Hi, I've recently purchased a g&g top tech gen 1 for a project to work on. I'm upgrading the motor to a TM eg1000 but I wasn't sure how much better this would be than the top tech gen 1 motor. Also will I need a reinforced gearset, I'm pretty sure the g&g gearset should be good enough but just to be safe.
I also have a gen 3 top tech and wondered if the gen 1 with tm eg1000 would have a better rate of fire or not.
