Can you reinstall the blowback on an SA80?
11 March, 2010, 17:28
Hey, i have an Army Armament SA80 with lots of nice upgrades, but the blowblack was disabled.
Ive looked at a take down review of the gun, and it looks like its just one piece that disables it from the top of the gearbox??
How can i, if i can reinstall it, and where do i get the parts to do it?
And does anyone have a link to a video or info on how to do it.
ANY help at all would be much apreciated.
Phil
PS. i know blowback drains batt life, and some people may say dont bother, but i want to
:P

It doesn't just drain the battery... It also runs the risk of added nastiness on the insides.

Indeed, it doesn't just drain the battery, it kills the gun.
So I'd say first thing to buy would be three or four new pistons to see you through the next few skirmishes

Well I know of someone that has used the AA R85 for more than 30 skirmishes and hasn't touched the internals. Blowback still enabled.
Of course, if you (phil) wanted to disable it temporarily you could just cock it back and keep the action held open.
